Who do you support and why?

There are so many amazing charities and causes out there that I find it very difficult to choose which ones I support (those that I do are mentioned on this blog). I know there’s no maximum number of charities a person can support or raise awareness for, but I’m not superwoman and I have to have a limit, otherwise I can’t dedicate enough worthwhile time to any of them.
It got me wondering what charities / causes other people have chosen and why. We all think our own are the most important and worthwhile and are amazed that there are people out there that don’t see it that way (every time it comes round, I’m amazed that not everyone in the UK donates to Comic Relief, even just a few pence!) But one of my other loves is finding out what makes people tick and that’s what this blog is about. I want to hear from you. What causes do you support and why? There are no right or wrong answers – it’s not a competition, I’m just genuinely interested.
